A Discussion on Presidential Politics in 2016

trump-and-hillary

Led by Prof. Jeffrey Berry, Class of 1970
Thursday, October 20th, 2016
7:00 PM – 9:00 PM

2016 is an unusual election but, Jeffrey Berry argues, it is one that reflects some broad and enduring trends in American politics. Polarization, rapid demographic change, and economic transformations are all contributing to a combustible political environment. Prof. Berry will lead us in a discussion of what 2016 tells us about 2020 and beyond. This will be an interactive event with plenty of time for all in attendance to talk about what they see as happening this election cycle.

Cal grad Jeffrey Berry holds the Skuse Chair in Political Science at Tufts University. He is the author of several award winning books on American government and is a frequent media commentator on Massachusetts politics.
